Dear Mounir, I used wget to download the file to be sure the tarball is received compressed. However you're right, the file has been uncompressed and still saved as openssl-1.0.1a.tar.gz. There must be some transparent proxy or CDN in the path between my computer and the openssl.org web

Hi, On the openssl download page the size of openssl-1.0.1a.tar.gz is 4456456 bytes but when I download it (wget http://www.openssl.org/source/openssl-1.0.1a.tar.gz) I'm receiving a tarball which is 21770240 bytes long. Of course the SHA1 checksum is different than the one announced on the
