I can confirm this with an out-of-date version of 7-Zip (v4.65 - yeah,
don't ask) as well as the latest stable version of 7-Zip (v9.20) - I get
a "There are no trailing zero-filled records" error dialog, but 7-Zip
still opens the TAR archive anyway.
