Just a reminder that this is coming up in just under 2 hours. We'll
follow up with the statusbot in IRC and an email when maintenance has

[openstack-dev] Gerrit downtime on Friday 2016-09-02 at 18:00 UTC

2016-08-25 Thread Elizabeth K. Joseph
Hi everyone,

On Friday, September 2nd from approximately 18:00 through 22:00 UTC
Gerrit will be unavailable while complete project renames.

Currently, we plan on renaming the following projects:

openstack/smaug -> openstack/karbor

openstack/higgins -> openstack/zun

Existing reviews, project watches, etc, for these projects will all be
carried over.

This list is subject to change. If you need a rename, please be sure
to get your project-config change in soon so we can review it and add
it to
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings/InfraTeamMeeting#Upcoming_Project_Renames

We'll also be doing some cleanup unrelated to these two renames.

If you have any questions about the maintenance, please reply here or
contact us in #openstack-infra on freenode.

I've received another comment about this, so I went ahead and disabled it.

They can request that it to be re-enabled when it's resolved.

[openstack-dev] Gerrit downtime on Friday 2016-02-12 at 22:00 UTC

2016-02-09 Thread Elizabeth K. Joseph
Hi everyone,

On Friday, February 12th at 22:00 UTC Gerrit will be unavailable for
about 60 minutes while we rename some projects.

Existing reviews, project watches, etc, should all be carried over.
Currently, we plan on renaming the following projects:

openstack/ceilometer-specs -> openstack/telemetry-specs
openstack/sahara-scenario -> openstack/sahara-tests

This list is subject to change.

If you have any questions about the maintenance, please reply here or
contact us in #openstack-infra on Freenode.

Some of this was covered at our meeting today[0] but I wanted to
repeat and add a couple other things I was able to learn by making
some calls and writing emails today:

If you're not renting a car, all three of the hotels listed on the
InfraMitakaSprint wiki page[1] offer a local shuttle service that will
take you anywhere within 3-5 miles, which includes the HPE office.
You'll need to speak with hotel registration/concierge to arrange drop
off/pick up each day, and you'll probably want to do this the night
before to confirm availability. Airport transport-wise, you should
also book the shuttle service in advance if you haven't already (I've
added some links on the wiki).

In addition to a catered lunch each day, we will also be provided with
morning coffee, tea and light breakfast items and 3PM coffee, tea and
snacks. I've notified them about the dietary restrictions that people
have included when they registered.

As I mentioned at the meeting, if anyone has any other questions or
concerns that I should pass along to our hosts, just let me know and
I'll hunt down an answer.

Earlier in the thread zaro mentioned this in passing, but to be more
specific: hitting '?' will bring up a menu of keyboard shortcuts that
can be used. This works in various screens throughout the Gerrit web
UI. No guessing required as to what shortcuts exist or how they work.

Quick update:

HPE will be ordering catered lunches while we're there, so I've added
a "dietary restrictions" column to the wiki. Also, if you have
suggestions as to *what* cuisine of food should be catered or what
specifically should not be, I can pass those notes along.

I also added a hotel column. If you're comfortable sharing which one
you're staying at (it's ok if you're not!), it may make it easier to
coordinate rides to the office in the morning.

Finally, I propose a sign up cutoff of Friday, January 29th for sign
ups so we have enough time to place orders, etc.

This is not done automatically, you need to contact the OpenStack

member. I have gone ahead and added you to vitrage-dashboard-core.

[openstack-dev] [all] New Gerrit translations change proposals from Zanata

2015-09-15 Thread Elizabeth K. Joseph
Hi everyone,

Daisy announced to the i18n team last week[0] that we've moved to
using Zanata for translations for the Liberty cycle. Everyone should
now be using Zanata at https://translate.openstack.org/ for
translations.

We're just now finishing up the infrastructure side of things with the
switch from having Transifex submit the translations proposals to
Gerrit to having Zanata do it.

The Gerrit topic for these change proposals for all projects with
translations has been changed from "transifex/translations" to
"zanata/translations". After a test with oslo.versionedobjects last
week[1], we're moving forward this Wednesday morning UTC time to have
the jobs run so that all translations changes proposed to Gerrit are
made by Zanata.

Please let us know if you run into any problems or concerns with the
changes being proposed to your project. The infra and i18n teams will
have a look and provide help as needed.

Thanks everyone, these are exciting times for the i18n team!

[openstack-dev] [all] Gerrit downtime on Friday 2015-07-10 at 22:00 UTC

2015-07-07 Thread Elizabeth K. Joseph
Hi everyone,

This Friday, July 10th, at 22:00 UTC Gerrit will be unavailable for
about 30 minutes while we rename some projects.

Existing reviews, project watches, etc, should all be carried over.
Currently, we plan on renaming the following projects:

stackforge/puppet-murano -> openstack/puppet-murano
stackforge/cue -> openstack/cue
openstack/python-keystoneclient-saml2 -> openstack/keystoneauth-saml2
stackforge/networking-vsphere -> openstack/networking-vsphere
stackforge/networking-plumgrid -> openstack/networking-plumgrd
stackforge/{compass-adaptors,compass-core,compass-specs,compass-web}
-> openstack/{compass-adaptors,compass-core,compass-specs,compass-web}
stackforge/{anchor,bandit} -> openstack/{anchor,bandit}
stackforge/networking-arista -> openstack/networking-arista

This list is subject to change as the week goes on.

We do these renames about once a month, so if you need a rename done
soon and your project is not listed above, please make sure you do the
following by Thursday:

1. Submit the patch for the rename and use the Gerrit topic
"project-rename" so it's on our radar. If you're not sure how to do
write the rename patch, you can view others by searching for that
topic yourself:
https://review.openstack.org/#/q/topic:project-rename,n,z

2. Add it to our list on
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings/InfraTeamMeeting#Upcoming_Project_Renames

3. Be diligent about responding to our feedback in reviews, if it's
not ready by Friday it won't make the rename window.

If you have any questions about the maintenance, please reply here or
contact us in #openstack-infra on Freenode.
