Hi,

sorry for the late reply, but if you want to attach a neutron network or a
neutron router to an existing MPLS based BGP L3 VPN, you can use the BGPVPN
project [1], with its API and one of it's backend, bagpipe [2] being its
opensource and reference implementation.

Those projects have dedicated devstack plugins, so it's quite easy to
experiment.

For MPLS/BGP VPNs refer to the networking-bgpvpn project rather than VPNaaS.

I had a discussion with few operators and after what I heard about VPNaaS I can 
tell that we not suppose to help with that implementation.
Maybe we should work on service VM’s and prepare implementation of VPNaaS using 
them and using some prebuild images like VyOS or other.

Strictly speaking, vpnaas is on probation right now, and if interested parties 
actually revive the project, it may stay past those 6 months. That said, I 
haven’t heard about anyone stepping in since the summit.
