I can definitely use some guidance for contributing on this( a newbie
here). Few questions:
1. Do you think this support could be added in queens release cycle? I
think blueprints submission for queens is closed right?

As Sean pointed out that Direct vnic_type is not yet supported in OVN,
while it is supported in ODL and OVS.
I wanted to know if there is any plan to add this support in OVN
