Sean,
Very cool - thanks for providing. One question - for Trove, we have Jenkins but
also voting jobs on reddwarf - any way to change the "No Negative Feedback"
section to take into account reddwarf failures?

At yesterday's Trove team meeting [1] there was significant discussion around
the Capabilities [2] feature. While the community previously approved a BP and
some of the initial implementation, it is apparent now that there is no
agreement in the community around the requirements, use cases or pr
addressed in the
spec.

As of Kilo, you can add a ―replica-count parameter to trove create ―replica-of
to have it spin up multiple mysql slaves simultaneously. This same construct is
in the python/REST API as well. I realize that you still need to create a
master first, but thought I would point this out as it might be

for web front-end developers to create master and replica instances in the same

I agree with Amrith – we should try to understand what the problem first.
The datastore_manager config setting is passed down to the guest in the
guest_info.conf file along with a few other config settings that the guest
uses. I believe the intention is that trove_guestagent.conf is passed down
Hi,
Python 2.6 support was dropped in Kilo (for all of OpenStack). The patchset you
mention was just merged last week and will be in Liberty. Trove is no longer
being tested with Python 2.6 so it is likely things like this will continue to
occur going forward.

Li,
Thanks for your input - definitely useful to get your perspective on some of
the challenges implementing Trove in production. I definitely have an interest
in understanding how we can improve the project going forward to address some
of these concerns.

Flavio,
This definitely sounds like a good idea. I know that many of us in the
Trove community will be in Vancouver - what would make sense in terms of
organizing a discussion?
