We've decided to introduce the MVP of the new image import functionality as an EXPERIMENTAL version 2.6 of the Images API. The CURRENT version will remain at 2.5 (introduced in Ocata).
Why we're doing this and what this means for deployers/users is explained in the releasenote on the patch that bumps the API version: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/490651/ We plan to get this into RC-1, so please leave comments on the patch at your earliest convenience. cheers, brian
