Jimmy, I know you and I briefly discussed something else relating to
IRC and authenticating with OpenStack ID. It has to do with infra
hosting an instance of "The Lounge" IRC client, as outlined in this
spec[1].

If that's what you were thinking of, I'm definitely still interested
in getting your view on whether or not integrating auth via OpenStack
ID is something you could help with :)

Hi all - Wanted to circle back on this now that we're clear of the
Summit madness. Someone had asked for assistance on getting OpenStackID
up and running on this. Is that still a need? If so, let me know how we
can help.

Thank you,

Nice thanks!

I've always wanted a tool that could alert me of "missed mentions" when
I'm offline IRC rather than having to manually parse the IRC logs for
those times I'm offline. However I'm guessing that falls outside the
scope of this tool or could be done with some other tool (I haven't
investigated yet)?

For channels that are configured to have purplerbot running, you can
get that with p!spy. See https://anticdent.org/purple-irc-bot.html

2016-09-21 Thread Bashmakov, Alexander
That's a good idea, I was just thinking along the same lines today. It's
definitely out of the scope of my tool, though. Some targeted filtering could
be implemented, but it would still be in "offline" mode. If you want it live,
then perhaps some IRC clients offer that functionality or maybe there is a ZNC
module for that.

Hi Bashmakov,

The extension is useful for me. Thanks for the recommendation:)
