Hi all, I collected the current status of ZeroMQ driver and posted a
wiki link [1] for them.

For those bugs that marked as Critical High, as far as I know, some
developers are working on them. Patches are coming soon. BTW, I'm also
working on the devstack support. Hope to land everything in the kilo cycle.

Thanks for helping fix this critical bug, Doug. :-)

@devstack:
Currently, I cannot find any devstack-specs related repo for proposing
blueprint details. So, If any devstack guys here, please help review
this blueprint [1] and welcome to leave any comments. This is really
important for us.

Actually, I thought that I could provide some bug fix to make it work,
but after evaluation, I would like to make it as a blueprint, because
there are lots of works and a blueprint is suitable for it to trace
everything.

OK. I'll get it done soon.

Btw this is a good question. I will take look at current state of
zmq in devstack.

I don't think its that far off and its broken rather than missing -
the rpc backend code needs updating to use oslo.messaging rather than
project specific copies of the rpc common codebase (pre oslo).
Devstack should be able to run with the local matchmaker in most
scenarios but it looks like there was support for the redis matchmaker
as well.

If you could take some time to fixup that would be awesome!

Re: [openstack-dev] [oslo.messaging][devstack] ZeroMQ driver maintenance next steps

2014-12-09 Thread ozamiatin

+1 To wiki page.

I also tried to deploy devstack with zmq, and met the same problems

https://bugs.launchpad.net/devstack/+bug/1397999
https://bugs.launchpad.net/oslo.messaging/+bug/1395721

We also have some unimplemented closures in zmq driver:
one of them: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oslo.messaging/+bug/1400323
