Doug,
Thanks for doing this. In the interests of transparency and full disclosure, I
was at the leadership training and heard about this idea there (and was
strongly in favor of it then, as I am now).
I think it is very important that OpenStack not devolve into a loose
confederation of bags
Eventbrite calls it a ‘convenience fee’. Yes, I’ve paid that too.

I see a comment in https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/NYC-ops-meetup about
“OpenStack East Discount?”.
If someone wants to pursue this, please let me know; I’ll get you in touch with
folks who are doing the registration for OpenStack East and you’ll be able to
get (maybe) a joint registration
Sergio,
Sounds like I may have been replying only to you, not the list.
A couple of things to recap from the emails I’d sent you.
1. From the description of what you are doing, I’m not sure that single tenant
remote (or shadow tenant) would be my first choice.
2. If you go the route of
I echo this sentiment; attaching a single Cinder volume or a group of volumes
in a consistency group to multiple instances would be something I’d like to see
in Pike.

Sorry, didn't mean to make this only for developers. Cross posting to Operators.

I'm adding [trove] to the subject as we're interested in where this ends up.
Matt, it may make sense to include other projects that use service VM's if they
are using file injection/configDrive/...

That's fine, I will take care of putting it in the devref but this is the
only way in which I know to identify the "cats" involved :)

uniquely searchable, such that a search result set uniquely relates to a
specific problem. Conversely, if we go the route of message translation in
the future should all messages include some searchable code (like Microsoft
does with their crash codes).
