you need to have installed the kernel-source version to match the new
kernel, then reapply the NVidia driver,
sh ./NVIDIA-version -a
(as root)
and follow the prompts as you did before.

Their 32bit version seem to run ok on my x86_64 amd 4200+ (openSUSE
10.1), but I don't care for their tk-type interface and their software

he'd have to take it to someone knowledgable and (hopefully) honest, and
get it fixed.
It won't for linux either. He'll have to *ask* for help, but I
