Well, it's been over a week, but the Conductor project at java.net has finally been approved!
See below for my original message. The project page is now available at https://conductor.dev.java.net/ Discussions are welcome on the dev mailing list there ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and hopefully we'll be able to start bringing together some existing infrastructure code from some interested parties soon. Thanks, and sorry for the confusion / delay, Jason > -----Original Message----- > From: Jason Carreira > Sent: Wednesday, August 13, 2003 11:41 AM > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'; > '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'; > '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > Subject: A Proposal: Opensymphony Conductor > > > I'd like to create an opensource web application framework > built on the pieces we have and some outside libraries. > Essentially I'm looking at something like Expresso but built > with better components and free :-) > > I'm thinking it could consist of: > > Xwork > WebWork2 > OSUser > Hibernate > SiteMesh > OSCache > (Xwork IoC|Bebop|Picocontainer|Spring) > Atlassian's security stuff > > All of these would be put together and configured for > out-of-the-box development with the templates, decorators, > config files, etc. all set up.
