I have managed to setup the Openvas 7 demo appliance, but how do I login into
the web interface without a GUI ?
I can only login to the CLI.
Do I have to install X windows manually ?

But what is the difference between restarting openvassd and openvassd
--only-cache? I thought that the restart is loading the new NVTs into the
cache?

If you installed it right you should be able to connect from any web browser on
a machine on the the same network by connecting to port 9392, like
http://IP:9392 or https://IP:9392.

Anything else will keep a scanning process scanning :-)
