Hello OpenVAS users,
we have created a OpenVAS-8 DEMO VM Version 1.0.
It was just uploaded:

The OVA image was created with VirtualBox 4.3, but uses the
OVF 1.0 format.
This new VM is based on Debian Jessie 8.0 and also the
OpenVAS part is build from scratch.
When installing openvas on Fedora 21 via the command 'yum install openvas'
openvas-check-setup v2.2.1 is installed, which doesn't play well with openvas
8. Downloading v2.3.0 from the openvas web site fixes everything.
