Hello,
I´ve been trying to install OpenVAS 9 Beta on an Ubuntu 14.04.3 following the
guides and installing from the repository ppa:mrazavi/openvas.
openvasmd --rebuild --progress is failing with the error message:
Failed to shake hands with peer: The signature algorithm is not supported.
The problem appears to be isolated to omp. openvasmd binds to ipv6 and I
see it in netstat, the omp client throws the error "failed to acquire
socket". I looked at the source code but I'm not smart enough to tell if
the client/server framework has ipv6 support.

Today I noticed a scan hanging, and after I killed a lingering nmap
process, the scan continued.

in the menu of the report results browser there is an menu item
"Report: Error Messages".
Timeout problems should be reported there.
