[Openvas-discuss] OpenVAS Scan Configurations
Hi to all Where can i find some examples of scan configs that i can use to scan an host? In the initial install of openvas there are 8 default scan configs but i want other. I have found a web-app scan config here: http://www.greenbone.net/learningcenter/task_webappscan.html http://www.greenbone.net/learningcenter/task_webappscan.html Are there other configurations that i can use? [Openvas-discuss] Openvas with nmap
Hi to all,I have installed openVAS.I want that it use nmap when i execute a scan.If i install nmap in default folder it work fine, but if i install nmap in a custom folder and i export PATH variable (e.g.. export PATH=$PATH:/opt/nmap/bin) it don't work! HI, I want to use the certificates for the communication between openvas cli and openvas manager (omo protocol). I have created ca certificate, server certificate and client certificate. Client certificate and server certificate are used for the communication between manager and scanner. Where is the certificate for the communication between openvas cli and openvas manager? Now i won't that the communication between cli and manager is secure.I have seen that in omp options there is --use-certs Use client certificates to authenticate option to connect cli and manager using certificates but i don't have understood how i can use it :( Can you help me? [Openvas-discuss] nmap custom folder
Hi,i have installed openvas and it work properly.I want to install nmap on my machine, in this way when i start the scan, openvas invoke also nmap.I have installed nmap in the default path using ./configure amp; make amp; make install, and it work fine! But now i want install nmap in a my custom folder, so i have installed nmap with:./configure --prefix=/my/custom/folder amp; make amp; make install The problem is that when i start that scan, opens don't invoke nmap because it is installed in my custom path :( There is an environment variable that i can set?? Hi,I have installed openvas cli, manager and scanner on three different machines.To start the services i have:started scanner with openvassd;started manager with openvasmd --rebuild --slisten=scanner_ip_address amp; openvasmd So i have used the omp commands on the cli to create a new task:omp -u username -w password --host=manager_ip_address -X create_task ... / Finally i have tried to run the scan withomp -u username -w password --host=manager_ip_address -X start_task ... / But i have this error:start_task_response status_text=Service temporarily down status=503/start_task_response I think that i have to communicate to the manager, by the cli interface, also the scanner address or no? Hi, I have installed openvas scanner and openvas manager on Two different machines. I have executed the scanner on first machine with openvassd command and so i have executed the: openvasmd --rebuild --slists=192.168.1.10 command on the second machine but the request comes in time out. Hi,I have a problem with the connection of openvas-manager with openvas-scanner.I have installed the openvas-scanner on a machine that have the address 192.168.100.222 and i have executed the commands:openvas-mkcertopenvas-mkcert-client -n -iopenvas-nvt-syncopenvassd Then i have installed the openvas-manager on another machine in my subnet. I have copied on the new machine the certificates that i have create with the scanner, so i have executed the commands:openvasmd —rebuild —slisten=192.168.100.222 The command run for each minute and later i have this error in openvasmd.log lib serv:WARNING:2014-11-03 17h26.51 utc:2137: openvas_server_connect: failed to connect to server (interrupted): Connection timed outmd main:CRITICAL:2014-11-03 17h26.51 utc:2137: update_or_rebuild_nvt_cache: failed to connect to scannerlib serv:WARNING:2014-11-03 17h26.51 utc:2137:Failed to gnutls_bye: Error in the push function. Hi all, I'm trying to install openVAS on openSuse OS using source files. I have installed all components but now I have a problem :( When I try to execute openvas-nvt-sync command it returns this error: error while loading shared libraries: libopenvas_misc.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory To install the components I have executed, for every component of openVAS, the command cmake .. in the build folder and later I have executed the commands make and make install I have seen that the file libopenvas_misc.so.7 is present in the path /home/pasquale/Scrivania/openVAS/openvas-libraries/build/misc Why the command nvt-sync don't finds it? Hi all, i send this mail because i have a problem during the process of compilation of openVAS 7.0 manager package on openSuse OS. I have installed openVAS libraries and openVAS scanner without problems. But during the installation of openVAS manager i have a problem. I have executed the cmake command and its execution is OK. When i try to perform the make command it return this error: error: call to function ‘process_otp_scanner_input’ without a real prototype I have seen in the install.txt file that to remove this problem i have to perform the command with the option -DIGNORE_UNPROTOTYPED_CALLS=1. I tried also this way but make method don’t allow to use this option, this option is allowed only by cmake method. So i tried to execute the cake command with this option and then the make command but the result is the same :( Do you have any suggestion?
