I think certificates were the problem. Yes, I had ones from Openvas 7 (Sep
30 in the listing below). I regenerated new ones with Openvas 8 (Oct 21).
The byte sizes are much bigger - stronger keys I suppose.
$ sudo find /var/lib/openvas/ -name *pem -ls
1298524 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root
