Why didn't James switch to git, too?
Using svn & git in parallel isn't effective and causes such problems.
And as far as I know is git a complete superset

I've just pushed out a brand new beta2.2 branch on git. The previous
attempt is renamed svn-beta2.2, and will most probably be deleted in the
near future.
The background for this is the discussion on #openvpn-devel meeting
