[OpenWrt-Devel] new package hotplug radiobutton script

2009-08-07 Thread edgar . soldin

Hi all,

2 months ago I created the following ticket.
https://dev.openwrt.org/attachment/ticket/5256/
It announces a new ses button wifi switch script.

I assume it was not added because of the inappropriate format. Today I
added a patch to the ticket which holds the new package changes against
the current packages repository. You will find it here

https://dev.openwrt.org/attachment/ticket/5256/radiobutton.patch

thank you very much... ede

Yay, I didn't expect this one to be applied that quick :)

I added a 7th patch to the ticket [7] which updates the tex docs
 accordingly.

I attached another doc patch [8] plus a little tiny refactoring [9].

Cheers,
Malte

Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] Bump gpsd version and use uclibc++

2009-08-07 Thread David Richardson
Greetings,  So far I am unable to build gpsd 2.39.  I am confused by the new
requirement for python in gpsd 2.39.  Does anyone know if python is only
required to build or is it also a run-time requirement?
In part my information came from this
thread:http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=279586

Thanks in advance for any advice on how to build this module.David Richardson

Hi Chris,

Le Sunday 26 July 2009 18:42:21 Chris Lang, vous avez écrit :
101-trimble.patch was not an obsolete patch. There is no support for the
trimble devices in the latest gpsd version and  without this patch gpsd
will not work with certain trimble devices.

Patch re-enabled in 17039, thanks !

 Thanks,

 - Chris

Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] [RFC] mklibs.py integration

2009-08-07 Thread Felix Fietkau
Hi all,

I reworked and fixed the mklibs.py integration and it actually works
now. The reported 4KB space saving in the linker binary that florian
reported was just simple stripping, not actual relinking.
Here are the results with a slightly-bigger-than-standard configuration
on a mips target:

libuClibc-0.9.30.1.so - before: 401380, after: 253512
libm-0.9.30.1.so - before: 102128, after: 46900

There is no significant space saving on the other libraries yet.

- Felix
