I don't think that this is too much work. The only problem that might occur is that the platform compiler might be too old to compile newer DUNE versions. But hopfully backporting the next newer version is still possible. > And if we did that, could/should we skip straight to Dune 2.8 or even 2.9? Two stable versions seem feasible to me.
