Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [opnfv-tsc] [release][gambia][armband] Armband Intent to Participate in the OPNFV Gambia Release

2018-05-07 Thread Bob Monkman
This is to inform the TSC that the Armband project intends to participate in
the Gambia release.

We intend to follow the traditional release track for select scenarios using
the MCP (Fuel project) Installer, and we will attempt to follow the Continuous
track, “as implemented by Apex” installer track, for select scenarios where we
add Apex Installer support for CentOS-based platforms, if this makes sense.

Team,

Tomorrow (April 13) marks the opening of the intent-to-participate window for
the Gambia release (i.e. MS0). Please find the procedure
here.
The window closes as of MS1 on May 11.

NEW FOR GAMBIA. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
As you probably know by now, we are supporting two release tracks for Gambia:
1) traditional (i.e., the process we've been using) and 2) continuous delivery
(as implemented by XCI and Apex). So, in addition to the usual procedure found
in the link above. Please let me know which release track you intend to
participate in by including one of the following statements in your intent to
participate notification:

  1. We intend to follow the traditional track.
  2. We intend to follow the continuous delivery track
  3. We intend to follow both the traditional track and the continuous
delivery track
Also, please remember that if you are planning a new project for the Gambia
release, you have two weeks to submit your proposal to the TSC and still have
time to be approved and to join the release before the intent-to-participate
window closes.

Let me know if you have questions. Thanks.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [yardstick] Yardstick PTL Election - Nominating Emma Foley

2018-05-07 Thread Ross Brattain
Hi OPNFV and Yardstick team,

I would like to nominate Emma Foley for Yardstick PTL. Emma has been an
active committer in Yardstick for four months and has contributed greatly in
community discussions at PlugFest and ONS. Emma is engaged with the OPNFV
testing community and has started collaboration discussions with other testing
projects, NFVBench and VSPerf. Emma has strong technical experience with
OpenStack and has experience working with the OpenStack community.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [yardstick] Yardstick PTL Election

2018-05-07 Thread Ross Brattain
Hi OPNFV community,

In accordance with the Yardstick PTL election process[1], I am announcing a
Yardstick PTL election.

Calls for nomination will be open for two weeks and will end on May 21st.

The election is open to any Yardstick committer[2] (+2/-2). After the
nomination period we will have one week to vote[1].

As I have been Yardstick PTL for two releases (Euphrates and Fraser), I am
stepping down as PTL. It has been an honor to serve as Yardstick PTL and work
with this amazing team and community.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [Fuel] call for PTL elections

2018-05-07 Thread Greg Elkinbard
Hi folks,
As many of you remember, I have stepped down as Fuel PTL, but we have never
had an election to appoint a new one. Time to correct this issue.

We need to elect a new Fuel PTL.
Any active project committer is allowed to run.

However I would like to nominate Alexandru Avadanii for his extra ordinary
contributions to the project over the last several years.

Voting period is open for one week. Project committers are allowed to vote.
Committers please respond with the name of the candidate for PTL you
support.

Thanks
Greg

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [releng] Stepping down as Releng PTL

2018-05-07 Thread Trevor Bramwell
Hi all,

First off I would like to thank you, Fatih for the amazing work you've
done as PTL of Releng! OPNFV would not be where it is today without the
countless hours you've devoted to us.

Second, I'd like to nominate myself for the role of PTL. As an active
contributor to Releng since Colorado (2016) I've contributed over 350+
commits to the Releng repo.

We're doing some great work within Releng and the Infra-WG. As PTL I
would work to continue facilitating the work being done in XCI,
testresults, dynamic-ci, and other initiatives; keep our CI
infrastructure stable by ensuring our processes are followed, increase
the documentation we have around contributing to the project, and
continue to engage with external communities (and ours) to ensure we are
providing right and timely feedback from our CI.

I'd appreciate your vote for nominating me as PTL.

Regards,
Trevor Bramwell
