I am having the same problem. When I put my nickname in EntryNodes, Tor
starts fine, but when I add StrictEntryNodes 1 I get this same error. I
tried putting in my IP instead of my nickname, but Tor then says that
using an IP is not yet supported, using 0.2.1.20.

Hi Csaba,
I have seen similar error and warning messages to what you have
mentioned, both with 0.1.2.17 and with 0.2.0.8-alpha.

Hi Shreyas,
Sorry for the late response, I've seen your mail on the list only now.
I was also setting up my own Tor network based on the instructions in
the FAQ, but I've been trying to reproduce it as a virtual network
running a number of User Mode Linux

Hi
I am using 0.1.2.17. I am planning to run an application over tor so i was
not sure puppetor will work. I think i will try using that. My problem is
that the logs say that there is enough directory information but still it
does not try to make a circuit. I changed the code so that it builds

Which Tor version do you use? I had a potentially related problem with
the current trunk version that had to do with private IP
Hi
I am trying to setup a private tor network and followed all the steps
