Position : *Business Analyst / Project Manager* Duration : 6+ months Client : Investment Bank Location : NY Rate : 400 per day on corp to corp Description The role will be to work closely with global Business Analysts and Project Managers to create and design software to load financial and trade data into Opera, creating transformation and load mappings in Informatica Power Center 7.11. This includes the development of Unix shell scripts to control the operation of the data loading processes, building of Oracle Views, Stored PL/SQL Procedures and ad-hoc queries and participating in the design of the overall data load framework and process. Additionally, working closely with the downstream data warehouse users and the Opera Core development teams. Qualifications *Essential:* Minimum 4yrs IT experience with commercial software development preferably in Finance/Banking sector. Significant experience of full development/project lifecycle. Experience of working in a global team, including excellent communication skills. Informatica Power Center (min version 7.1 or more) Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL knowledge Strong understanding of Database technology, including performance tuning of queries, Unix scripting, Unix O/S. 3-4 Years of designing components, applications and documenting design methodologies, leading design reviews. Experience in performance tuning of large applications at multiple levels. PL/SQL Development >= 4 years current. SQL Development >= 4 years current. Unix scripting >= 2 year current. Informatica >= 3 year. *Desirable:* C++ experience. Perl scripting. ClearCase. DBA skills. Banking knowledge - particularly a broad knowledge of product structure.
