Job Title: Sr. Oracle DBA Location: Rocky Hill, CT Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire *EAD, GC, US Citizen Only!Interview: Face to Face After Phone* Senior Oracle DBA with large Warehouse performance tuning experience. Job Responsibilities: This Oracle DBA will be joining a team of 8 members to give assistance on a variety of projects (ARO, Impact Pro, DQM, CRDM, IRAR, eCR etc.) . Prefer a individual coming from within the healthcare industry Top responsibilities for this position: This person will be responsible for supporting database applications within an Oracle environment. They will be responsible for installation, configuration, & upgrades of Oracle server software, working with cross functional teams to provide database support, building SQL sequences for data analytics, creating tables, indexes, & other database objects to support database needs. They will interface heavily with BAs and PMs to support development projects from a database standpoint. They will also be responsible for database automation and support. In addition, this person will be responsible for security (user account creation, access privilege maintenance, etc.). They will have traditional day to day DBA responsibilities such as tuning and performance monitoring as well. They will have ownership of capacity planning as well, and will make recommendations to senior leadership on storage and processing needs. Given the amount of interaction they will have to have with business partners, vendors, and leaders, strong written/verbal communication skills are key to this position. This position does feature 24x7 development and production support as required. skills/attributes are a must have: Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of Oracle database administration experience using version 11. 2+ years experience in a data warehouse environment 3+ years of shell scripting experience 3+ years experience with SQL tuning.
