The project manager is a consultant that’s been working for Client for the last 3 years. He told me that they like working with nearshore teams but they need to staff up locally to meet some deadlines. The project will go to the end of the year and into the next. They are looking for modern front end web application developers who are familiar with Node, HTML5, Angular JS. He said that knowing Java is not necessary. In terms of experience he said he actually prefers people outside the financial services industry. They need people who are self-starters and go with the flow. The team will need to be in the office as the norm – he said that he tries to work from home once a week and suspects that’s fine once the project gets going.
