Columbus, OH 6-12 Months Contract IMMEDIATE NEED LONG TERM CONTRACT Summary The Reporting Analyst will be a part of the Business Process and Reporting team and assist in the preparation, communication, and implementation of financial reporting in a multi-tenant SaaS solution to meet the financial management needs of the university. The position will primarily focus on: Conducting reviews of reporting requirements across the organization Understanding reporting tools in use today to meet current requirements Gaining knowledge on reporting capabilities within planned tools to be implemented Working with business units to meet business requirements with future tools A successful candidate will be able to gather current state reports, analyze similar reports across functional areas, synthesize and streamline the myriad of reports to a final set of reports that have been justified as needed by the reporting owners. Through this process the Reporting Analyst will thoroughly record reporting requirements, and work with report builders to develop reports within the SaaS system being implemented to meet the documented requirements. Communication is key as the Reporting Analyst works with business units’ Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and document ways in which units are leveraging the current system and work with the units to migrate into the new environment. Other key roles of the Reporting Analyst are testing reports throughout the duration of the project in addition to assisting in report training development by providing necessary documentation to training team. The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, critical thinker, motivated with a positive attitude, and able to work independently to gather and evaluate data. Work Experience 3-5 years related experience in: o System implementations o Creating and maintaining enterprise documentation o Financial data reporting and requirements gathering o Change management o Supporting information technology in a complex business environment Experience using standard MS Office tools Demonstrated facilitation and interviewing skills Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills Ability to make decisions using considerable independence and initiative, as well as the ability to collaborate in a group setting Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds Ability to facilitate work groups and lead effective meetings Experience with financial systems and processes Experience with Workday is preferred Additional Information Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, operations management, or related field; experience with complex, large-scale ERP, preferably cloud ERP, implementations; experience facilitating work groups; experience working on a project management team.
