*Title: MES Consultant* *Location: Lock Haven, PA* *Duration: 6 months* *Type: Contract Corp-to-Corp* *Responsibilities may include:* · Provide functional & technical expertise to support Manufacturing/Quality systems mainly using GE proficy MES (Plant apps). · Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues. · Work with offshore teams to assist in manufacturing and quality process and systems improvements by reviewing alternative solutions and driving project approvals. · Conduct research on emerging application development software products in order to maintain a broad knowledge of Manufacturing/Quality systems and processes. · Lead the planning, design, development and deployment of new MES solutions, refine and enhance existing processes and application, and establish effective user requirements and reporting mechanisms *Required Qualifications:* · B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related combination of education and 4 years of IT experience. · Minimum 3 years’ experience in GE Proficy MES software development and validation. *Preferred Qualifications:* · 3+ years of experience working with and supporting Manufacturing Industry (Process) and Quality Systems · 3+ Years of experience working on GE proficy MES system implementation, Proficy historian, Proficy RTP, open enterprise, Proficy vision, OEE etc. · Rich experience of various GE proficy models configurations, testing, implementation. · Experience with Oracle / SQL database technologies · Experience with Microsoft SQL Server & development environment *Soft Skills:* · Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills · Strong customer service mentality · Ability to work with little direction and work with remote team members in other locations · Ability to work in a team oriented environment while demonstrating flexibility to perform in multi-task situations · Demonstrate effective problem solving abilities · Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing company needs and deadlines · Strong systems / process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills and problem solving skills *Technical Skills:* · In depth understanding and hands-on experience in GE Proficy MES application · Background/Experience within Manufacturing Industry (process) and Quality Systems required · Experienced in SQL/PLSQL programming, Visual Studio / .net, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database, Web Services Development, XML Messaging, Multi-Tier Architecture & ETL routines. · Strong project management skills using formal project management methods required. Ability to lead projects with limited supervision, PMP certification a plus. · APICS and Six-sigma certification a plus. · Well versed on MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
