*Job Description:*
• Plan, execute and control the implementation and adoption of portals,
social networking and other features of SharePoint 2010. This includes
coordinating team efforts and third-party contractors in order to
successfully conduct the migration. The manager will define the objective
and oversee quality control through the project.
• Accountable for program development from beginning to end using PMI
methods and processes and Clarity for planning, managing and tracking.
• Define program scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals
in collaboration with management and stakeholders, and the same for projects
within the program
• Work with Consumers Energy and implementation vendor project managers plan
and coordinate activities for design, development, test, and implementation
of portals including working with business partners/stakeholders for each
deliverable
• Develop full-scale program and project plans, issues and risks, project
change management and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate program expectations to team members and
stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with program stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve program and
project goals.
• Draft resource and budget proposals, and recommend subsequent changes
where necessary.
• Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the
acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Determine and assess need for additional consultants and work with
Consumers Energy management to acquire appropriate recruitments if necessary
during project cycle.
• Set and continually manage program and project expectations with team
members and other stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify, track and resolve resource issues and conflicts within the
program teams.
• Identify and manage program and project dependencies and critical path.
• Plan and schedule program and project timelines and milestones using
Clarity and Open Workbench.
• Track program and project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver status reports, progress reports, proposals,
requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Analyze results of all project planning deliverables including project
schedule, project status, issues and risks, change control requests and
troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in program and project scope, identify
potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

• Define program and project success criteria and disseminate them to
involved parties throughout the life cycle.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and
contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability
for their assigned work.
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order
to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Develop best practices and tools in partnership with the BTS Strategy and
Governance PMO for project execution and management.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree.
• PMP Certification.
• At least 10 years direct work experience in a project or program
management capacity, including all aspects of process development and
execution.
• Must have experience leading large SharePoint development projects or
large programs (> $10M)
• Demonstrated experience in resource management.
• Strong familiarity with project management and scheduling software such as
Clarity and Open Workbench.
• Highly skilled in use of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented,
collaborative environment is essential.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through
analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Reacts to program or project adjustments and alterations promptly and
efficiently.
• Flexible during times of change.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment is crucial.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage and work with multiple vendors
• Ability to communicate with sponsors and other leadership
• Ability to coordinate a large group of project or program team members
• Ability to effectively lead discussion with stakeholders, sponsors,
leadership and team members
• Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who
come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including
upper management, clients, and other departments.
• Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
• Ability to bring program and its projects to successful completion through
political sensitivity.
• Customer service skills an asset.
