*Please send resume to **s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com>* Job title: Sitecore Specialist Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 5 Months Direct Client Position Client: State of WA Note: Need 2 references in order to submit Client requires technical consulting to plan for an upgrade from Sitecore version 7.2 update 6 to version 8.2. All hosting, operations, design and development of the Sitecore installation as well as customer support for agency content authors is done in-house by client. There is currently no Sitecore Partner providing technical services, but the contract with Sitecore does include Gold level technical support. The team includes systems engineers, Sitecore certified backend developer, front-end developers, and a designer. Due to recent turnover of the development team, client is seeking strategic technical consulting to plan the next version upgrade with the development team, to ensure the implementation and architectural design follows current best practices as well as positions the team and content authors to be able to utilize all the new functionality available in version 8. The team does not currently use: components, in-page editor, MVC, or customer personalization features. The upgrade plan should outline how to incorporate those into the upgrade project. The Consultant shall build a project workplan for the Sitecore 8 upgrade and shall provide a strategy for architecture of upgrade project. Consultant shall help team determine: • Best hosting solution for Sitecore installation and for xDB o Relative pricing, pros/cons, and method for selecting (King County hosted, AWS, Azure, Sitecore partners) • Best strategy for upgrade o Build from scratch and migrate versus upgrade in place o Options for automating content migration o Recommendations for MVC switch • Recommendations for current/additional modules • Template changes needed to fully utilize features of Sitecore 8 o Including need to move from content editor to page editor, turning reusable code snippets into components, modifying standard template architecture • Most appropriate aspects of customer personalization (for government) to initially target in the development roadmap. • Timeline and staffing needs to complete the upgrade project o Determine if this work should be phased or completed in one project • Training impact on agency customers and, if needed, for design/development team *Required Skills:* *Sitecore Developer Certification; * *Experience with the Microsoft MVC web application framework; * *Experience on Sitecore 8 installations; * *Experience with upgrades from Sitecore 7.X to Sitecore 8.X.* *Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com> * *Thanks, Sam CNC Consulting, Inc. 201-546-3096 s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
