Job Description: Evaluate, design, plan, deploy and support: UCS and Dell x86 standalone and virtualized servers, via VMWARE, running RedHat Linux and Oracle Linux p-Series virtualized servers, via PowerVM, running AIX 6 and 7 on a per project basis. Advanced administration of RedHat Linux and Oracle Linux and IBM AIX is required. Administration includes advanced level knowledge of the respective virtualization technologies VMWARE and PowerVM, as well as, their respective deployment mechanisms Kickstart and NIM. Successful candidates will have extensive experience supporting large 24 by7 distributed Datacenter environments. Screening Question: Please answer me in (YES/NO) AIX have you built VIOs (configured SEA, NPIV, vLan Tagging, resource group…etc)? have you built NIM servers and deployed images using LPP-SOURCE? have to setup and configured HACMP clusters and GPFS Rings? have you been involved in developing the hardening and global configuration settings of the servers? Linux have you imaged VMs and x86 standalone servers? have you built a kickstart server and deployed images? are you responsible or participate in designing the Linux Gold Build image that is deployed?
