*Data Archiving Architect*

The Data Archiving Architect is an IT technical resource responsible for
planning and executing data migration projects to move data from legacy
database applications to a third-party database archival solution.   This
process allows legacy applications to be decommissioned while still
providing access to their data for operational, regulatory, and legal
discovery purposes.  Because each legacy system is different, this role
includes not only technical analysis and expert understanding of relational
data and other data sources, but also project planning, task management,
and excellent communication and collaboration with key business
stakeholders and vendors.  Additionally, this role serves as the primary
resource for establishing access to source systems, to include the
performing DBA security tasks to set-up the necessary privileges to extract
the data. This often requires coordinating results from other resources
within IT.

·         Research source system data & infrastructure

·         Set-up DB access archive tool

·         Install and set-up DB SQL monitoring tool

·         Complete source system information in the COC Data Archive

·         Determine resolution and perform necessary tasks to resolve table
archive variances

·         Facilitate technical requirements, design and test documentation
for archive efforts

·         Complete and submit technical data Chain of Custody documentation
for archive efforts



*Required Skills *

Required skills are 4+ years of direct expertise with advanced SQL,
relational databases (including design), data modeling and other technical
documentation, ETL or other mass data movement and migration
technologies.  Must
possess excellent communication skills (oral and written), ability to
create and execute project plans, and demonstrated experience as a
collaborative team member.

An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer
Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
