Job Details:
Our client is seeking a SAS Programmer for a 6 month contract opportunity.
The SAS Programmer will support the ABP’s Psychometric and IT departments
in the development of SAS programs for performing psychometric analyses.
This role will interact with Psychometrics and IT department staff to
ascertain needs and to identify, develop, and implement appropriate
solutions, following appropriate guidelines and procedures.  This position
will develop SAS programs for obtaining data from multiple database sources
(SQL Server databases, etc.) and preparing (merging, cleaning, filtering,
restructuring) data for analysis.  The SAS Programmer will develop
psychometric SAS programs to replace current psychometric analytic programs
for scoring, item analysis, equating (currently performed in SPSS, Iteman,
and Winsteps), and develop quality assurance procedures (including SAS
programs) to ensure data is obtained and prepared accurately and that all
analysis results are valid.  The SAS Programmer will also be responsible
for creating appropriate documentation for all newly developed SAS programs.

Required Skills / Experience:
5 - 7 years of SAS programming experience.
SAS 9 Base Programmer Certification.
Proficiency using SAS PROC SQL.
Proficiency using SAS Macros.

Desired Skills / Experience:
Experience in the field of educational assessment (or other
measurement-related field).
SAS 9 Advanced Programmer Certification
SAS 9 Base Programmer Certification.
SAS Administrator experience (e.g., connecting SAS to SQL Server databases,
setting up user profiles / privileges).
Expertise in SAS Graphing and Reporting.
Familiarity with SPSS, R, Stat or other statistical analysis software
packages.
