Location:- Pleasanton CA Duration:- 1 Yr Rate:- Open for right profile No of Positions:- 3 Job Title: Performance Engineer (If we can see highlighted skill in resume will get interview today) Qualifications - Requires 4+ years experience developing and/or leading performance issues on projects, such as: - System performance monitoring, tuning and reporting - Software tool performance monitoring, tuning and reporting - Preparation of software tuning recommendations - Two or more of the following technical skills - Performance Center Load Runner 9 – Vugen, LR Analysis - Shell, Perl scripting - AIX 5.2 and above - Solaris 10 - C/C++ - Java - Websphere 6.1 (Application Server and Portal) - SOA and web services on zLinux platform - Oracle db performance analysis - Proficient with Monitoring tools - Vmstat, Netstat, Iostat, NMON, ESAR - Sitescope - Websphere - Tivoli ITCAM, Foglight GC analysis tools - Bachelor’s degree - Personable and diplomatic team player, with the ability to work well in a team environment - Experience in a technical role on at least 2 full lifecycle medium-sized projects lasting more than 6 months - Ability to define and distill detailed functional and non-functional technical requirements - Detailed knowledge of prototyping, performance testing and benchmarking of third party product integration. Essential Responsibilities and Duties - Supports performance goals for the project - Responsible for the following on a project: - Design, construction and execution of stubs, agents, scripts that simulate end-user behavior - Design and development of instruments and monitors - Technical risk assessment and resolution of performance issues.
