*Position Type * - 2 Year Contract Sacramento, CA *Desired Role Experience & Skills:* * Baseline Experience:* - Thorough understanding and previous experience working with the MEDITECH Magic Laboratory Information System applications and with the interfacing of Laboratory data between disparate systems and/or instruments. - Laboratory Information Services (LIS) manager or LIS project management experience in a related setting - 5 years of MEDITECH systems/solutions, preferably LIS - 5 years of operational experience - 5 years of operational management of systems in a healthcare environment - 3 to 5 years of experience in planning and leadership of project staff *Skills and Abilities:* - Deep application-specific product and business knowledge - Excellent business acumen and ability to communicate with all members of the organization - Exceptional ability to manage and/or implement LIS solutions - Proven ability to strategically analyze situations and consider situations in a global perspective - Proven ability to be creative and find innovative solutions to complex problems - Excellent collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, analytical skills and an eye for detail - General understanding of external (e.g. HIPAA and UCDHS) compliance regulations. *Background:* - UCDHS implemented Epic EMR Cadence (Scheduling), Prelude (Registration), Resolute (Finance) modules July 2014 and have begun the process of implementing the EPIC Beaker applications.
