GPA Specialist Location : Lafayette, LA Duration : 2 Months Rate : Market* Skills: PeopleSoft 7.1 - 9.1 Student Records; Student Records Functional Lead Job Description Need someone that can create/develop, and implement training plan to help client perform best practices with Student Records methodologies. Need someone that can create/develop, and implement testing plan and provide all test scripts necessary to assist client in performing best practices approach in testing Work in a remote capacity most of the project, utilizing development and test Lab and working closely with technical personnel in providing a fully tested system. Responsibilities Guide client and drive/perform the process for all GPA activities Develop and execute all training plan documents and activities Develop and execute all testing plan documents and activities, including providing all test scripts Perform functional testing of upgraded database (SA, SR) Provide functional expertise at beginning and end of each upgrade pass Explain, consult, and educate client in the best practice approach for business fit gap, testing and training plans Effectively communicating to client and to client personnel, with an accommodating personality/nature Role and Responsibilities will include that of Functional Lead, as well as Business Analyst Skills Required Experience in SA and SR in SA v7.0 or higher, with PeopleTools v7.49 or higher Discipline, integrity, and dedication to work productively in remote environment while concurrently keeping close contact with client Minimum 7-10 years PeopleSoft functional expertise, with recent experience in PeopleSoft v8.9, v9.0 (and v9.1 experience is desired) Extremely talented in effective communication Deliverables Business Fit-Gap documents and processes Testing Plan Training Plan Results from functional checkout of each upgrade pass Roles and Responsibilities Role Responsibility Team Member Name Functional Lead The Functional Lead is the liaison between the Technical Lead(s) and the Customer Reps, to ensure the new software meets the client business requirements. Assist in preparation of PP accounting for all technical tasks and associated estimates. Ensure that all objects on each Compare Report have decisions on them (i.e. decision to keep/delete/retrofit the object). Be recognized as having deep functional expertise within the SA application and its associated business process. Ensure that Business Specification documents, Technical Design documents, Testing Plans, and Training Plans are developed, properly executed, and approved. Develop Testing Plan. Develop training Plan. Responsible for completing, reporting progress on tasks on the project plan and reporting changes to PM. Communicating effectively with PO.
