Job Title: Mobile App Developer Location: Columbus, IN Duration: 3 months with possible extension of another 3 months Type: C2C Job purpose: We are looking for a senior mobile app developer for development and maintenance of Android. The developer will lead the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. Apps will be mainly content based and integrated closely with the web sites, ERP systems and legacy application. *Main tasks and responsibilities: * • Acting as lead iOS and/ or Android developer Working closely with another mobile app developer leading the other platform development • Deliver across the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support • Working directly with developers and managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products • Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects • Working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps • Working with the front end developers to build the interface with focus on usability features • Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences • Standardizing the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies *Person specification: * • Proven commercial software development experience – desktop and mobile • Published examples of mobile applications on the App store or the Android market • Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and usability design principles • Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team • Design and build advanced applications for the Android / IOS platform • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Work with outside data sources and API's • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance. • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. *Essential skills: * • In depth Knowledge of Android SDK – worked on developenig application Android 2.2 onwards • Must have worked atleast on 2-3 native mobile app using SQLite database and synchronization of data on web server • Good experience with Core Java and object oriented programming • Strong object oriented programming and design skills • Understanding of XML, JSON, HTTP, SOAP, Javascript, Web Service • Experience with Android Platform (intents, services, threading, activity, fragments, etc.) • Strong understanding of mobile application development • Strong fundamental understanding of web application technology • Experience with major browsers, HTML 5/CSS, Ajax, JSON, Jquery, etc. • Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME) • Familiar with the Android SDK • Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system • Familiar with Eclipse *Common skills:* • Understanding of other compiled languages • Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) • Experience of development using web technologies • Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns • Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP • Experience building web and native apps • Experience using social media APIs • Using version control (e.g. SVN) • Excellent debugging and optimisation skills *Competencies for success:* • Oral and Written communication • Creativity • Learning on the Fly • Technical Learning • Action Orientated • Peer Relationships • Time Management • Problem Solving Thanks, Habeeb Work: 908-822-8515 Ext: 22 hab...@mutexsystems.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
