Title: PHP Developer With Wordpress Location: Park City,UT Duration: 6 month contract to hire -- EAD GC,Green card and Citizens This position requires both Front End and Back End experience. In this fast-paced role, the right candidate will be developing and maintaining highly functional, highly customized websites and web applications built on our proprietary framework. This position requires and in-depth understanding of WordPress; its core functions, network, plugins, template hierarchy, etc. Strong PHP skills are a must, in addition to an understanding of the full stack. While this position is Back End focused, the ideal candidate should be able traverse and understand server side processes as well as client side. Experience + Skills: Posses strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Can dive in and lead your own projects with little to no direction Experience with version control systems, preferably Git Comfortable with the command line Experience developing and working with APIs At least 2 years experience developing on the WordPress platform Experience with Photoshop, enough to use PSDs as a guideline for development Strong to Expert level PHP knowledge Experience with PHP frameworks like Larevel, Cake, Smarty, etc. Knowledgable in MySQL, Javascript, HTML5, Angular Experience building responsive, device-friendly websites/applications Know the differences between responsive design/native app/mobile dedicated sites and the benefits and drawbacks of each Experience with modern development environments and tools Can utilize online resources to get over development hurdles encountered Experience working in a deadline-driven, technical and design-focused environment Understands progressive enhancement and graceful degradation Section 508 Web compliance knowledge A team player that can lend ideas to a project and raise development red flags Can work within budgetary constraints and knows how to simplify when necessary All things being equal, we want a candidate who demonstrates a proactive attitude, take-charge personality and can-do demeanor Education: Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred in a related field such as Digital Media, Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
