Provides for the effective provisioning of database services. 3. Responsible for database changes 4. Responsible for Problem Management of complex and recurring database incidents. 5. Responsible for installation, maintenance, security, performance and tuning of Database Management Systems and related software, with emphasis on Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and/or Mark Logic. 6. Ensures close technical interchanges on database related issues with system administrators, hardware and storage engineers, project managers, and operations personnel as necessary. 7. Recommends and aids in the definition of database strategies, policies, standards, and procedures which are consistent with the Company mission. 8. Promotes compliance with industry standards on database design, implementation and administration. 910 QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor's degree (Information Systems, Computer Science) or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server required; experience with MySQL or MarkLogic helpful. Experience with advanced database functions including high-availability, clustering and disaster recovery required. Experience with database performance & tuning, backup & recovery required.
