Job Title : Oracle Developer Location : Local Applicants Southern NH Duration : 4-6 Months Rate : $45/hr C2C Requirement Job Description The Senior Oracle Developer will work with a small team of database and reporting analysts and other developers to create and enhance business intelligence solutions in an enterprise data warehouse environment. Primary Responsibilities As part of a team, develop, deploy, and support database programs using Oracle PL/SQL. Development is focused around an enterprise data warehouse and the reporting solutions which consume that data. Interpret business requirements to create scalable, innovative and repeatable software solutions around extremely large data sets. Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure quality and integrity of project deliverables. Provide technical support for solutions in production. Support quality assurance/testing functions. Author and contribute to technical design documentation. Foster and adhere to source control procedures and programming standards. Debug programs. Mentor junior staff members. Diagnose and correct data issues. Participate in technical discussions with external clients. Coach team in technical and process areas. Develop and execute unit and system tests of software. Includes test data creation. Work closely with Project Managers and provide resource and time estimates, raise critical issues and recommend solutions. The Senior Developer is expected to take ownership of development aspect of projects where they are the primary developer and are accountable for the quality and timeliness of their piece of work. Create and maintain system documentation. Qualifications The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate programming skill, focus and initiative in Oracle PL/SQL programming, including the following qualifications: 4 years of hands on Oracle PL/SQL. Must thoroughly understand complex function, procedure, package, trigger, and dynamic SQL development and maintenance in an Oracle database environment. Oracle 9i, 10g, or 11g experience. Relational database modeling experience. Normalization and Dimensional modeling experience. Knowledge of all phases of the systems development life cycle. Understand quality control/assurance processes. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to take on and perform to aggressive development and testing time frames. Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Business Objects a plus but not required.
