Position : RHEL Systems Admin Location : Bridgeport,CT -- *F2F Interview* Duration : 3- 6 Months Contract *Job Description *The client is in need of a mid-senior level RHEL consultant who can assist them in both maintaining their current infrastructure and also architect improvements to it. This includes not only server architectures, but also strategy around the performance and stability of the applications hosted on the infrastructure. This is a perfect project for a consultant who loves to spend a lot of time on the whiteboard and architect, but also loves to get their hands dirty. If you are an independent consultant looking for a lengthy and stable engagement, then this would be perfect for you. *Desired Skills and Experience :* This is a "working architect" job. The work will require a solid background in enterprise Linux technology with a focus on Red Hat. Knowledge of networking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP/Kerberos, clustering, patching, Kickstart, SQL sys admin, Puppet/Chef are a must. In addition to these core services, being well versed in shell scripting and sys ops is also a must. You will be analyzing and troubleshooting Java based application performance on Linux systems, so having experience solving these problems is important. Having experience with VMWare and heterogeneous (Microsoft) environments is a strong plus. You may also have to pick up ancillary tools like Splunk and others.
