Job Title: SQL Server Developer w/.Net

Location: Providence, RI

Duration: 10 months

Direct Client Position

Client: State of RI

Rate: $50-55/hr C2C



The purpose of this solicitation is to hire an experienced application
developer with strong skills in ETL Processes with a focus on SSIS, SSRS,
and T-SQL.  In addition, this person must have the ability to develop
automated reports using the information in the Early Care and Education
Data System and the Longitudinal Data Warehouse.  Also required is
experience with SQL Server 2008, logical data models and some working
knowledge of SSAS.  A solid understanding of the .NET and ASP.NET
application development models is a plus.  This developer will be working
with the existing Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Data System Team
to focus on the development of multiple file exchanges between RIDE and
other State Agencies and Vendors.  The developer will also be using the
information in the Early Care and Education Data system to create automated
reports to support state agency resources and other stake holders.  The
Early Care and Education Data System is being built using data from
multiple existing data systems.  Data extracts must be created to be sent
and received between the RI Department of Education (RIDE) and the
Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF), RIDE and Department of
Health (DOH), and RIDE and various programs and other agencies and
vendors.  This resource would work together with the existing staff.
Experience and/or knowledge building data systems that focus on early care
and education is a plus.



Application developer  with the following skill set:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience using extract, transformation, and
load processes (ETL) using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and
SQL Server Reporting Services.

Environment leverages Microsoft’s .NET framework so a minimum of 3 to 5
years of experience working in the .NET environment with SQL Server 2008 is
required.

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working with logical data models is
required and some working knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services.

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working with the .NET and ASP.NET
application development technology is required.

Knowledge and/or experience working in the field of Education,
specifically, Early Childhood, is a plus.

The Application Developer is expected to work well in a team environment to
support and supplement the existing development activities.  This resource
must be able to design, develop, test and implement the various files being
created and received.

The Application Developer is expected to go from design to implementation
supporting the various files being created and received in our existing
production environment and the web application development activities
required.

The application developer must have the ability to create documentation.
