*Senior DevOps Engineer at San Jose, CA * *6+ months contract * Description : We’re looking for an experienced *DevOps Engineer* to refactor and build a cutting-edge Continues Integration and Delivery platform. You will have direct input into how we scale, secure, and monitor systems and services on the entire application lifecycle. You will be working with our Infrastructure and development team from a diverse background. We strongly believe in recruiting a self-starter who can take ownership and exhibit creativity, communication, and collaboration. Ideal candidates will have strong technical experience in one (or more) of the following areas: software development, application architecture, systems administration and virtualization. *Specific Responsibilities* - Assess the needs of existing product lifecycle and leverage DevOps methodologies to implement a wide range of DevOps solutions which ultimately enable customers to deliver high quality software faster. Support application deployments, building new systems and upgrading and patching existing ones using *CI/CD tools and* practices. - Create and setup deployment scripts for different environments(i.e. Test properties vs Prod properties) - Leverage scripting and tools to build required automation in the delivery pipeline. - Support development team during releases and deployments - Configure and optimize instances and web-servers for optimal performance. (ex: adjusting default connection limits, adjusting request queuing thresholds) *Technical Skills: * - Applications Support, *Chef*, Docker, Cloud, Openstack/ VMware. - Working knowledge on build scripts, Jenkins, *CICD* pipeline, Linux. - Any one application server preferably JBoss, Tomcat. - Good understanding of network, firewalls, DNS and cloud. - At least few years of development experience in java ( not must ) - *Experience on Git/Jenkins/Artifactory like Continuous Integration/Delivery Environment* - *Should have experience on CI/CD tools and processes ( Jenkins/Bamboo/Team City/Maven)* · *Working experience on container based technologies - Docker/Openshift* *Best Regards,Object Technology Solutions, Inc.
