(Local candidates strongly preferred) Title: Solaris/Unix Systems Administrator Position Location: Chicago, IL Position Type: Contract (3-6 months) Key Responsibilities: · Provide hands on technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of the Solaris operating environments · Perform remote monitoring of server/system health and status using provided tools (BMC Proactivenet) · Ability to decompose complex problems to ensure timely and accurate resolution of system anomalies before they impact operations. · Participate in rotational pager duty to provide on-call support, including off-hours server administration and problem escalation · Plan and execute the installation and configuration of Linux/UNIX server operating environments within the data centers · Performance and capacity management of the server environment Requirements & Preferred Skills: · 7+ years of experience · *Experience with Solaris 11 on Oracle Sun hardware (M and/or T series); 2+ years of experience with Supercluster preferred* · Experience with creating and managing Solaris logical domains and zones · Experience with Oracle virtualization technology · Day-to-Day Solaris administration and support · Storage / SAN and DNS knowledge · Experience with Network troubleshooting Thanks & Regards … Madhu *StanSource Inc.* 22375 Broderick Drive, Suite 135, Dulles, VA 20166.
