Our Client is seeking a *System Administrator Sr Advisor * Location: *Livingston NJ* Duration: 6 Months Interview: Phone *Position**: * Recent, hands on XenDesktop experience (V. 6.5) Ability to troubleshoot and work through errors and tools within Citrix · Expeience using Citrix Management Consoles (vCenter and Studio) · Experience with cloning/building XD machines · Support knowledge for typical Citrix problems · Experience with Powershell scripts and execution Ability to follow processes and clone Track and monitor work in Excel **Not seeking architects or designers Project Description: · Acts as a subject matter expert in the design, architecture and deployment of new systems to keep the server environment stable and interruptions to a minimum in standalone and multi-tiered environments. · Conducts project management activities for new system requirements on various projects for deployment of business functions on new servers. Transfers knowledge and provides leadership support to less experienced team members in the implementation of new hardware, operating systems and other required software on the systems. · Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies and work with other professional technical staff in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development. Proactively learns new technologies to resolve any problems involved in integrating the new technologies with current systems. · Performs Root Cause analysis. · Plans maintenance programs. · Recommends platform upgrades and hardware refresh. · 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. · Skills strong knowledge of System Administration and Operating Systems.
