Please forward the resumes to *...@vjinfosystems.com* Position: Senior Oracle DBA with 10 years of exp Location: Bethesda, MD Duration: 6 months Local candidate’s only, face to face interview is required on short notice. *REQUIRED SKILLS: * o Minimum of *10 years of experience working with ORACLE database systems on UNIX required. * o Oracle 10g/11g DBA experience required (RAC setup/configuration strongly preferred). o Candidate must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. o Candidate must have experience in Oracle 10g database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning. o Candidates with 9i or 10g OCP are highly preferred. o Oracle 11g experience preferred. o RMAN and Data Guard experience in Oracle 10g or higher are ideal. o Good performance and tuning skill is needed. *PREFERRED SKILLS: * o Database partitioning, patching, cloning experience preferred. o Experience with materialized views preferred. o Oracle support in .NET environment strongly preferred. o Experience with Sun Solaris preferred. *RESPONSIBILITIES: * o Full life cycle support of client's database(s). o Responsible for database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades and performance tuning. o Will work with developers to design and build new structures to support future enhancements to the applications.
