Sr. Database SQL Developer/Support EAD candidates only. Client will not accept GC or USC through a sub company. Contract to Hire Deerfield, IL **MUST be able to do a face to face in Deerfield, IL* *MUST be local or somewhat close to the area Database SQL Developer/Support – working with several development teams (membership, provider, data transport teams, etc.) – candidate will be responsible for doing development using SQL, Shell Script, Sybase, also doing ongoing support that relates to the bench processes and development that the teams are doing. Top 5 skillsets: Analytical skills Communication skills Ability to work as a team member Knowledge of SQL Knowledge of Unix shell scripts Responsibilities: • Work with various teams to recommend automation of manual process and performance enhancements. • Design & develop applications using UNIX scripting, SQL and Control-M. • Act as liaison between business area and technical team to ensure all parties have complete understanding of project scope and requirements. • Provide analytical and problem solving skills when addressing and resolving issues, assessing possible systems impacts, and recommending technical solutions. • Provide technical guidance and support to developers and consultants to ensure all company standards and procedures are met. • Conduct code walk-thru of systems solutions to ensure design quality and consistency, as well as cross-reference to the business requirements. • Utilize technical skills to design develop and test technical solutions to business. • Improve, automate, maintain and support existing batch processes. Required Experience: Qualifications: • BS in Computer Science or related discipline. • 4+ years IT experience, which includes SQL development with relational database (Sybase / Oracle / SQL Server) • Strong hands on experience with Sybase, UNIX, shell scripting, PERL. • Experience with database consolidation and integration development projects, specifically focused on customer data desired. • Expertise in relational database design. • Experience in the technical design and utilization of best practices. • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and authoring skills. • Solid experience in data analysis, data modeling and performance tuning. • Ability to coordinate across multiple groups. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Solid interpersonal and relationship building skills that enable cross functional partnerships. • Knowledge of IT industry trends and technologies. Additional Qualifications: • Experience with Real-time B2B, EDI, MQ Series, HIPAA transaction set is a plus. • Experience with ETL tools & process, including IBM InfoSphere is a plus. • Experience in the Health Care industry is a plus. • Experience working with remote IT and business clients is a plus.
