I saw this same problem post on lazydba just yesterday.
It was a bug that is supposedly fixed in 8.1.7, but you
know how that goes.
It apparently does not corrupt data. You probably should
look up the details on MetaClink.

Thanks every-body.
I found the culprit command in the .profile
It wasksh -o emacswhich was creating
a shell and causing problem. Also there were some
terminal setting tset -I -Q , TERM=VT220,
term=dec etc. which were not required while invoking
the profile for a crontab.
