HI,
May be the version of the ODBC is not compatible with the SQLNET you
installed. I had a problem between Oracle 8i Client and ODBC V2.5. I
resolved it by adding SQLNET.V2 on the client side.

John,
You should be able to tune the SCSI device
queue depth; Ive done this on HP-UX and Solaris systems, but havent
had to under AIX yet. I dont have an AIX system handy to verify
this, but Im 90% sure you can do it. AIX also supports async I/O
where HP-UX doesnt (not sure about Sun),

It is not uncommon to find the problem disappearing after switching debugging/tracing
on, but in this case I'm wondering if its some feature with 9201? Are your test/prod
on the same patch release? or you have already applied 9202 to your test environment?

Ron,
Thankyou, I appreciate it. And for the individual who proposed that it
might be better to do it in Pro*Cobol for database independence. We have had
the thought of dumping Oracle for it's DB/2 competitor, until we found out that
DB/2 was no cheaper than Oracle in the end run. Probably

Any help or hint in this
EMC has hardware (raw) striping now. Also could be done by Veritas.
