Oracle Database is Portable means that it can be ported to any OS platform. Take a full Export of the database and then use the imp utility of Oracle to build the exact database what was there on the previous one. If you want to import certain objects then you need to create the tablespace

Hi - I believe I can do this, but I would like some confirmation and or warnings, etc. We are migrating an application from 8.0.5 on NT to 8.1.7 on Unix (Solaris 2.6). I would like to do this by creating the 8.1.7 instance and then importing the data. Is it possible to export from the NT
