I suspect there's another error being signaled which
isn't being shown. Have you tried saving the results
from DBCA as a script and executing the script
manually? That might help you diagnose the true
problem. I'd also make sure to check the
%ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms80\oradim80.log as you ca

I have installed Oracle 8.0.6 on Win NT. When I´m trying to create a new
database with the database assistent I get the following message:
"ORA-12203:TNS:unable to connect to destination"
The message appears while creating dabase files, and the installation stops
after only 1%.
